BRIGG FOOTBALL TEAMS PUT ON THEIR SUNDAY BEST

Fine away wins were secured by two Sunday football teams from Brigg yesterday (Sunday, December 12).
Brigg Town's table-topping senior side (in terms of age) led the way with a 7-0 triumph at Malt Shovel after travelling more than 40 miles to Selby for a Hull Veterans League Division Four fixture.
Meanwhile, the Black Bull side, allied to the pub on Wrawby Street, journeyed into West Lindsey and won 5-2 at Blyborough in a Bob Bedford Cup first round tie - securing a place in the quarter-finals.
Man of the match honours went to Jamie Craigie, who played well throughout and was also among the Black Bull scorers.
Other ties yesterday in this competition being sponsored by Messingham's Crown Inn saw Hibaldstow lose 4-3 away to Zeera, and FC Recoveries beaten 3-1 in Hibaldstow by Trinity.
In a Division One fixture in the Paul Fox Scunthorpe Sunday League, Broughton WMC went down 2-1 at Mulligans.
Brigg Town Football Club's first teamers received a home tie when the Lincolnshire FA made the draw for the semi-finals of the County Senior Trophy and will be hosting Bottesford Town in a local derby to be played by the end of February.
