UPDATES ON BRIGG FARMERS' MARKET BEING HELD TODAY

Here are several updates relating to the Christmas 2021 Brigg Farmers' Market which will be operating today (Saturday, December 18) in the town centre from 8am until mid-afternoon, alongside the Saturday general market offering fruit & veg, flowers and fish.
People visiting the farmers' event will be stocking up with cheese, jam, cakes, bread and other products, as well as perhaps keeping an eye out for some stocking-filler presents for friends and family.
However, if you are planning to visit the Lincolnshire Craft Beers Ltd stall in the Market Place to buy a few bottles of locally-made ale, please note that sales today are now to be conducted at the firm's 'brewery tap' - the Yarborough Hunt pub off Bridge Street, from 10am to 3pm. Ales, including Lincoln Gold and Christmas Cheers, are on offer in presentation packs.
For the benefit of out-of-town visitors, the Yarborough Hunt is not far from the Market Place - beyond the County Bridge, located close to the A18 (main road).

Please also note that refreshments will be available at St John's Church Hall while the market is on today, and there's a chance to meet Santa at Brigg Heritage Centre in the Angel building from 10am (£6.50p charge applies).

PUB NEWS: Customers planning to visit Brigg's Dying Gladiator, on Bigby Street, this weekend or next week are asked to pay with cash if they can.  Contactless card payments ARE still being accepted but some issues with the speed of the internet connection are being experienced. So any cash payments will help to speed things up at the bar.
