It can be annoying for Brigg motorists if they encounter a road closure they didn't know about.
But this should NOT have been the case late last night and early this morning (Saturday and Sunday, July 10/11).
Brigg Blog gave advanced notice about the impending closure of the A1084 at the barrier crossing where Bigby Road meets Bigby High Road and the railway line, and the team involved with these roadworks put up many signs in the area to inform motorists prior to and during the closure. Our picture was taken shortly before midnight last night.
Notice of the closure was given by Network Rail Infrastructure.
Local diversions for light vehicles were in place via Kettleby Lane, Wrawby, and Wrawby Road, Brigg (the A18).
