Here's advanced notice for Brigg passengers thinking of boarding a train to spend a pleasant day by the seaside at Cleethorpes this weekend or visit other destinations such as Lincoln by changing at Barnetby.
All six timetabled trains scheduled to call at our town's railway station this Saturday (July 17) have already been cancelled but a substitute bus service will run instead.
This is because a new footbridge is being installed across the line between Grimsby and Cleethorpes.
The Independent Friends of the Brigg Line Group informs us that because of this engineering work there will be a replacement bus service operating between Gainsborough and Cleethorpes.
Buses will leave Brigg railway station at 9.47am, 1.34pm and 5.30pm for Barnetby, Habrough, Grimsby and Cleethorpes.
Buses will leave Brigg for Kirton Lindsey and Gainsborough at 11.19am, 3.20pm and 7.20pm.
Return times from Cleethorpes are 2.05pm and 6.05pm to get travellers back to Brigg.
