BRIGG IS LOOKING BLOOMING GOOD

Brigg looks blooming good in early July 2021 - helped by various floral displays including beds, planters, tubs and hanging baskets.
Credit is due to volunteers and to the council workers and contractors deployed on planting, tending and watering. Some businesses are also playing their part.
Brigg in Bloom is again playing a central role and it is hoped that everyone's hard work will result in Brigg reaching the gold standard when competition judges' comments are made public in due course.
One of the most prominent displays in Brigg is the raised flower bed alongside the A18 at the eastern end of Wrawby Street (pictured above).
The miniature landing craft, erected in June 2019 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Second World War D-Day landings by the Allies on the beaches of northern France, has been removed. But troops can still be seen within the current floral display as a reminder of this milestone in 20th century history.
