SEEING DOUBLE: SIGNS GET BRIGG ROAD SAFETY MESSAGE ACROSS

There's no excuse for speeding on Brigg streets, and this is particularly so on the busiest of them all.
Drivers approaching the town centre along Wrawby Road receive TWO flashing warnings from signs mounted on grass verges beside the A18 near the cemetery and close to Sir John Nelthorpe Lower School.
If vehicles are doing 30mph or less as they reach these signs, a green message thanks them for staying inside the restriction.
However, if they exceed the limit they receive a red 'flashing' warning.
Brigg Town Council approved the purchase of speed reminder signs on road safety grounds to be sited on Wrawby Road and on Bigby High Road - well-used approaches to the town. North Lincolnshire Council is the local highway authority.
