With Brigg pubs scheduled to continue in government-enforced lockdown for the remainder of this month, one of them will be unable to celebrate its forthcoming birthday with customers.
The historic White Horse reopened under Wetherspoon's ownership on January 27, 2015.
This national company invested heavily in refurbishing and extending the original 18th century hostelry over many months before opening the doors to customers for the first time six years ago.
It soon became the most used pub in town, with people coming from far and wide to enjoy its low-priced drinks, morning breakfasts and other meals from the menu well into the evening.
However, lockdowns have resulted in various enforced closure periods since last March.
Interestingly, the White Horse is still displaying a poster erected some time ago, praising Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak "who instigated tax equality between supermarkets and pubs."
