Brigg Town Cricket Club's fixtures have been arranged for the 2021 season. Hopefully the Coronavirus emergency will be a thing of the past by the spring when games are scheduled to begin.
Based at the Recreation Ground off Wrawby Road, Town will begin their Lincolnshire County Cricket League Division Three programme on Saturday, May 1 with a lengthy trip south to Legbourne to take on Louth 3rds.
The club's first home game will be on May 8 when they host Scunthorpe Town 3rds.
Brigg's final fixture will be away to Messingham 2nds on Saturday, September 4.
There are 14 teams in Division Three - a large number - so they will be playing each other once rather than on a home and away basis.
Town will also be competing in the popular Supplementary Cup which involves early season group games to be followed by semi-finals for the qualifiers and then the final, to be played on August 8.
In their group, Brigg will be away to Caistor 2nds on May 15, at home to Barton Town 2nds on May 22 and then host East Halton on May 29.
Broughton (first team) and Hibaldstow will both be playing in Division One, with Broughton 2nds in Division Two.
In the first round of the George Marshall Trophy senior knockout competition on May 1, Broughton have a home tie against Holton-le-Clay.
Hibaldstow and Broughton 2nds will be competing in the Bob Welton Cup; Hibaldstow have a home game against Grimsby Town 2nds on May 1 when Broughton 2nds will be visiting Alford 2nds.

The 2020 season proved to be a brief one. Due to the government's Covid-19 concerns, it did not start until early August - Brigg having five fixtures in a specially arranged tournament which replaced the scheduled Lincolnshire League programme.
