LOCKDOWN 3: BRIGG PREMISES OFFERING FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Takeaways prepared on Brigg premises and delivered to local households generate income for businesses at this difficult time and provide a service which is valued by many hungry households.
This provision was unaffected by the government's latest and stringent Lockdown 3 Coronavirus emergency measures which took over in Brigg from Tier 3 earlier this week. However, as before, on-the-premises sit-down meals cannot be provided.
Food-related small businesses in the town are doing their level best to publicise takeaways' availability through social media, and a number are supplementing this in more traditional ways with posters.
Brigg Tandoori - on the corner of Elwes Street, the Market Place and Bigby Street - is proclaiming what it has to offer by way of signage on the building, stating; Finest Indian cuisine - brought to your door. Call 01652 656594.
Charity shops - classed as non-essential by the government and therefore forced to close during Lockdown 3 - can point out to passing pedestrians that sales continue online - an example being the Oxfam Book Shop on Wrawby Street, whose front window poster is pictured here. Many 'locked down' Brigg people now have more time to sit at home and read a good book before and after their permitted daily 'Boris Walk' exercise period as outlined by the Prime Minister and his colleagues.
