EARLY CONTENDER FOR FULLEST BRIGG WASTE BIN OF THE YEAR

Although we are only a few days into 2021, here's a very early contender for the fullest Brigg household bin of the year.
We spotted it yesterday afternoon (Monday, January 4) during a walk which took us across town.
The surplus waste had been bagged and secured. But as the lid is a very long way from being flush with the rest of the 'wheelie' we wonder whether it might have been put out for emptying some time ago.
The extra bags piled on top might explain why it was still on the pavement ahead of the burgundy recycling pick up of cardboard and plastic due today (Tuesday)

North Lincolnshire, our local authority, says on its website: "The council operates a flat lid policy which is designed to safeguard the health and safety of the collection vehicle crews. It is up to the discretion of the crew as to whether it is safe to empty."
