PROPOSALS TO 'BRING TOGETHER' MORE SERVICES IN BRIGG WILL BE OUTLINED AT PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT EVENT

There's an important public consultation coming up in Brigg tomorrow (Tuesday, October 22).
A letter has been sent out by our three Brigg & Wolds Ward councillors about the 'engagement event' to be held in the town centre's Angel Suite, off Exchange Place, between 4.30pm and 7pm.
Our household was not alone in receiving a copy of this letter in the post, and an invitation to attend.
In their letter, local representatives Couns Nigel & Carl Sherwood and Coun Rob Waltham, say: "Following our recent successful investment in the Brigg Recreation Ground, the continued expansion of the River Ancholme path and the recently completed new Arts and Culture Centre based at Sir John Nelthorpe Upper School, we want to invite you to a public engagement evening regarding some proposals to bring together more council services and to improve the customer experience for residents in Brigg."
The councillors say they would really appreciate 'feedback' from members of the public.
"If you are unable to attend the event, please make contact and we will happily call and go through the plans in more detail," they add.

NF ADDS: What the proposals "to bring together more council services" involve are not outlined in the letter but obviously will be made clear during Tuesday's engagement session. So this should be seen as an important event for people interested in the future development of the town. We have our own thoughts regarding what might be involved but will wait until Tuesday's engagement session to discover whether we are on the right track or barking up the wrong tree!
