BRIGG SHOWS 'INCREDIBLE' SUPPORT FOR WORTHY CAUSE

Brigg people continue to show their support for Pancreatic Cancer Action and recently donated almost £1,000 to this worthy cause.
Local fundraisers Andrew Markham, Zoe Hall and Lesley Whitehand have given Brigg Blog an update on their PCA group activities.
On Saturday, August 24 they held an awareness day at Brigg Farmers' Market, plus a collection around the pubs that evening, raising £605.60p in total.
On August 31 there was an awareness day event at Brigg Town FC where the FA Vase tie was being played against Armthorpe Welfare.
At the clubhouse in the evening, a 1980s disco was held, organised by Rick Greenfield.
These events raised a further £389 to take the total to £994.60p, which the PCA group describes as incredible.
Brigg Town FC have also donated a page in their programme to Pancreatic Cancer Action - for the full season.
"We are very grateful for the help from the football club and the landlords of the pubs and cafes in the town," the local fundraisers add. "Our next event will be Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, which is November. We hope public buildings in the area will light up in purple for the month.
"We will be attending the November farmers' market and Brigg Town FC's fixture that day.
