FROM MARKET RASEN RACECOURSE
Market Rasen Racecourse’s Virgin Bet Autumn Ladies’ Day, on Saturday, 19th October, offers a combination of exciting jump racing, chic, gin, shopping and Style Awards for the best dressed visitors.
Following the success of the Ferry Ales Brewery Prelude Day on the final Saturday of September, the Lincolnshire track is hosting another popular weekend meeting - and there is over £110,000 in prize money.
Visitors – men and women - are encouraged to look out their finest autumn outfits and enjoy a day at the races.
The afternoon offers fantastic entertainment and activities for visitors, including:
Free-to-enter Style Awards, sponsored by Marshalls Yard, in the fashion marquee on the Brocklesby Lawn;
- Live music throughout the afternoon;
- Christmas shops with a fabulous array of gifts;
- Gin Festival in the Exacta Bar.
Racing starts at 2pm, with gates open two hours before. Admission starts from £10.80 in advance, with accompanied children aged under 18 admitted free of charge. On-the-day prices are £12 (Lawn Enclosure), £20 (Tattersalls) and £25 (County Enclosure).
To make the day extra special, there is a ‘Best of British’ Restaurant Experience offer. For £68 per person – and £20 for under 12s – it includes admission, a reserved table for the day, a two-course set meal, a racecard and a betting facility.
On the track, a six-figure sum is up for grabs, including the £50,000 Virgin Bet Prelude Handicap Chase, a race targeted by the major British training yards over the years, and the £21,400 Rugby World Cup At Virgin Bet Handicap Hurdle.
Nadia Powell, General Manager, Market Rasen Racecourse, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting our popular Autumn Ladies’ Day which is supported by our valued new sponsor, Virgin Bet. The event is a celebration of winter chic, gin, shopping and fashion. On the track, there is valuable and exciting sport to be enjoyed with top quality jump racing.”
