BRIGG BAR TO HOST 24-HOUR MARATHON
A Brigg bar manager will be entering into the Christmas spirit a little early this year.
Mark Burns, mine host at the town centre's Exchange, is to spend an entire day dressed as a festive elf to generate sponsor money for charity.
On Friday, December 6 his efforts will form part of wider fundraising being undertaken for the Alzheimer's Society Elf Day 2019.
There will be raffles, guess the name of the teddy and how many sweets are in the jar, plus a 24-hour pool tournament.
The Exchange is now seeking at least 12 players to undertake two-hour stints on the pool table during the marathon. They are being asked to find sponsors to help boost the venue's fundraising efforts. Call in now to pick up a signing-on form if you are able to assist.
An appeal is also being made for raffle prizes, if you have something suitable to donate like a bottle of wine or soft toys.
Members of the public will be very welcome to call at the Exchange throughout the marathon on December 6 and show their support.
The Exchange's Siam Smile Restaurant will be supporting the event, providing food for the pool team throughout the day and night.
