ENJOY AN AWAY DAY BY TRAIN TO SUPPORT BRIGG TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB & OUR LOCAL LINE

Brigg Town Football Club supporters can travel to the away game at Worsborough Bridge by train this Saturday (October 19).
An off-peak return fare to Barnsley for the ToolStation Northern Counties East Division One encounter costs £12.30p, and you can pay the guard/conductor on the train.
Board the 11.48am Northern service from platform two at Brigg. At Sheffield station, take the 1.35pm train heading for Huddersfield which arrives in Barnsley at 2.02pm - almost an hour before kick-off. Local bus services operate to Worsborough's ground (see below).
After the match, leave Barnsley station at 5.42pm on the Northern service. Get off at Meadowhall and join the 6.17pm TransPennine train to Barnetby, arriving at 7.18pm. That gives you time for a pint in the nearby Whistle & Flute pub before joining the last train of the day to Brigg at 7.43pm - a five-minute journey back to town.
Our thanks go to rail campaigner Paul Johnson for providing the train times and details of Barnsley bus services (below).
