Additional help is at hand in the constant battle Brigg has against litter.
Brigg Town Council has now secured a street sweeping machine that was surplus to the North Lincolnshire authority's requirements.
Monday evening's Town Council meeting heard that the sweeper should be picked up later this week. So it won't be long before it's put to work cleaning the streets.
Additional litter bins ordered by the council for various locations in the town have now been delivered.
A couple of weeks ago, Brigg Blog highlighted discarded fast food wrappings that had been deposited on (and below) seats in the Tintab shelter - just a day or two after volunteers had undertaken a litter-picking session.
Last weekend having seen colder and wetter weather, there was no evidence of litter at the shelter on Monday morning (October 28).
Perhaps some people thought twice about eating their hot takeaways while sitting at East Park's Tintab.
