NEW USE ON THE WAY FOR BRIGG SHOP UNIT
Many people in Brigg have been wondering what kind of shop will be opening in the empty retail unit on Springs Parade (pictured here).
That question has been put to us on a number of occasions over recent weeks.
The Brigg Bargain Booze off-licence closed in January 2019 - read more through this link...
But recently its former premises has been undergoing internal and external refurbishment - evident to shoppers on foot and to drivers using the handy car park nearby.
We've now had it confirmed that Jerry Green Dog Rescue is hoping to open a charity shop here later this year - date to be revealed in due course.
The well-known Broughton-based charity is already accepting donations of items at its North Lincolnshire Centre.
Brigg Blog will post more about the Brigg shop once the opening date has been confirmed.
Sue Ryder and the RSPCA already operate bargain buy outlets within a stone's throw of the former off-licence shop.
Elsewhere in the town centre there are others raising funds for Lindsey Lodge Hospice, the Red Cross, Oxfam (two shops) and Age Concern.
No apologies for making this story about Dog Rescue our LEAD story of the day!
