BRIGG CHRISTMAS COMMUNITY MEAL TO BE PROVIDED BY VOLUNTEERS

A communal Christmas meal is planned in Brigg for dozens of people who would otherwise be on their own during the festive season.
Brigg Town Council is being asked to give a grant to help with the cost of staging this Christmas Community Meal in the Angel Suite on Saturday, December 28, 2019.
Brigg Angels Women's Institute has submitted an application, saying it will be working with other community groups so local people can have a Christmas celebration with a hot meal, entertainment and a small gift.
The event is aimed at Brigg residents who do not have the opportunity to spend Christmas with family and friends.
It is anticipated that approximately 90 people could benefit from the celebration.
This grant application will be one of the items considered by councillors when they hold their monthly meeting on Monday, October 28 in the Angel Suite Lounge, from 7.15pm. It is open to interested members of the public.
