NEW BRIGG RESTAURANT SEEKING APPROVAL FOR SEVEN-DAY OPENING

A new restaurant in Brigg - launched only a few weeks ago - is applying for seven-day-a-week opening hours.
Spanish-themed La Finca, in the Market Place, has already hosted a number of sell-out Friday and Saturday night tapas evenings.
Now proprietor Paul Keane - a well-known Brigg businessman - has  applied to North Lincolnshire Council for the following:
Performance of Live Music (Indoors)
Monday to Friday, 19:00-22:30hrs
Saturday, 15:00-23:00hrs
Sunday, 13:00-22:00hrs
Playing of Recorded Music (Indoors)
Monday to Saturday, 18:00-22:30hrs
Sunday, 13:00-22:30hrs
Supply of Alcohol for Consumption On the Premises
Monday to Saturday, 12:00-22:30hrs
Sunday, 13:00-22:00hrs
Opening Hours of the Premises
Monday to Saturday, 09:00-22:30hrs
Sunday, 09:00-22:00hrs
The premises licence application, made on November 21, will be decided in due course by North Lincolnshire Council.
Consulted on the proposal, Brigg Town Council has raised no objections.
During a meeting of the Planning & Environment Committee, held in the Angel Suite on Monday (November 25), chairman Coun Brian Parker, the Deputy Town Mayor, said he could not see a problem.
Town Mayor Coun Sharon Riggall added: "It's a thriving business."
Coun Jane Kitching thought the intention was to play Spanish-style music, while Coun Ann Eardley pointed out that some pubs in the town centre already played music.
La Finca - located on the ground floor of the Angel building adjoining the Cafe Courtyard - occupies an area which was  the Angel Hotel wine shop many years ago.
