BRIGG IN BLOOM GOING FOR GOLD

Brigg Town Council has now met with allotment tenants to discuss the establishment on new plots on Woodbine Park to replace those to be removed near Grammar School Road as part of future redevelopment plans.
Further talks are expected to be held at a future date, also involving North Lincolnshire Council representatives.
Six months' notice will need to be given to the affected tenants but that has yet to be served on them.
At the council's other allotment site, off Atherton Way, Brigg in Bloom has taken a plot to grow its own plants.
Neighbouring tenants have been offering help to the group which arranges the colourful flower tubs and planters on display every summer.
Town Mayor Coun Sharon Riggall says Brigg and Bloom is looking to improve on this year's East Midlands silver award - view details here - by going for gold in 2020!
