Families are being encouraged to come to Lincolnshire’s ‘Big Christmas Day Out’ at Market Rasen Racecourse’s Boxing Day race meeting with a valuable saving on ticket prices.
Families or friends who buy four tickets in advance can save a massive £5 on additional purchases for the County and Tattersalls Enclosures.
That’s the ‘Christmas Clan Offer’ to encourage families to book early and come in big numbers to the annual festive fixture which attracts up to 10,000 spectators seeking a traditional and value-for-money sporting day out.
As always at the Rand Farm Park Boxing Day At The Races meeting, accompanied under 18s are given free admission.
Visitors are also reminded that ticket money is refunded if wintry weather causes the meeting to be called off. However, the racecourse stresses that the Boxing Day fixture has gone ahead every year since 2011!
The days sees a packed programme of jump racing, including the annual Clugston Lincolnshire National. Like the ultimate Aintree race – the Randox Health Grand National - stamina is crucial for the Lincolnshire National, which is run over a distance of three and a half miles.
Nadia Powell, General Manager, Market Rasen Racecourse, said: “Boxing Day horse racing at Market Rasen Racecourse is as much a part of Christmas as turkey, mulled wine and crackers. 26th December is always a very affordable festive day out over Christmas, so we are delighted to be making an advanced ticket offer which will encourage families and friends to enjoy a great festive day at the races.”
Adult tickets are from £11.70 in advance (£13 on the day) for the Lawn Enclosure. Tattersalls advance admission is £19.80 (£22 on the day) and County is £24.30 (£27 on the day).
