FREE MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT ON OFFER AT THE BRIGG CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH-ON 2019


Varied FREE entertainment has been arranged for the Brigg Christmas lights 2019 switch-on evening on Friday (November 29).
It will take place on a temporary stage erected in the Market Place.
Brigg Town Council, which provides the lights and organises the event, has announced the following approximate times:
5pm lights switch-on: Annie Fanny - star of the Scunthorpe pantomime - with the Town Mayor.
5.15pm: Brigg Primary School Choir.
5.45pm: Vale Academy Wind Band.
6.15pm: Brigg Singers.
6.45pm: Air Training Corps Band.
7pm: Lyndhurst Singers.
7.30pm: Brigg Music House Band.
This year's centre-piece Christmas tree is now in place in the Market Place (pictured above) with lights in place - ready for Friday evening.
Brigg District Lions have arranged stalls for the accompanying Christmas Fair & Market, from 4.30pm. There will also be food food on sale within the town centre, and an opportunity for Christmas shopping at local businesses until circa 9pm.

Apart from the music and song groups, this event is calling out for public participation. For example, involve children in a lantern parade with a Christmas Queen and a Father Christmas...have a competition involving the best decorated electric scooter....simples
