CONSIDERABLE BRIGG INTEREST IN PLAN FOR NEW CAFE, CHILDREN'S CENTRE & OFFICES

Brigg Blog's 'page view' site statistics indicate that many people are interested in the plans announced recently to provide a cafe on the Atherton Way industrial estate.
It's earmarked for a new building also housing a children's centre and offices.
A planning application, requesting approval, is now being considered by North Lincolnshire Council.
Whether the cafe will be open to the public, cater for people working in the new building (or both) is yet to become clear - the scheme only being at a preliminary stage.
But in view of the number of people who work on this sizeable industrial estate, demand clearly exists for breakfasts, lunches, sandwiches, pies and pasties, butties and other types of fast food.
The application for the two-storey building has been submitted by CLS Civil Engineering Ltd for vacant land at the northern end of Atherton Way, not far from the M180.
Many people read Brigg Blog's initial story about plans for this development and also our second post about Brigg Town Council's reaction to the scheme - no objections being raised.
The application now rests with planners at the unitary authority. They are very busy people, with a host of applications to consider across North Lincolnshire, but we hope it won't take too long for this one to be decided.
