HOPING TO SEE YOU AT THE BRIGG CHRISTMAS LIGHTS 2019 SWITCH-ON TONIGHT

Just a reminder that the 2019 Christmas lights will be switched on in Brigg town centre tonight (Friday, November 29).
There will be the familiar 5-4-3-2-1 countdown prior to the illuminations coming on at 5pm.
A big crowd made up of the young and not-so-young will assemble in the Market Place to watch the switch-on ceremony which will involve Scunthorpe pantomime star Annie Fanny.
The LED lights - on display throughout the town centre - will stay on well into the New Year. They are funded and arranged by Brigg Town Council.
After browsing the many fair/market stalls organised by Brigg District Lions and listening to the varied music provided on the temporary stage in the Market Place, please support local shops, pubs (some offering their own musical entertainment) and fast food outlets.
Many shops will be staying open late so people can buy Christmas gifts, and don't forget to take a look at the niche outlets located in the courtyards off Wrawby Street.
We hope to see you out and about in Brigg tonight - supporting one of the town's major community events.

Special measures are in place to monitor litter bins on Friday evening, and also to collect any discarded items that find their way onto the streets. A litter-picking session will begin in the Market Place on Saturday (November 30) at 8pm. Volunteers very welcome.
