Property and land for sale has been showcased in Brigg town centre by North Lincolnshire Council for many years.
Details have been displayed in attractive glass cases on the southern side of the Buttercross within the Market Place.
A couple of weeks ago we spotted that all the notices outlining particulars had been removed and thought this might relate to refurbishment work being undertaken on the ground floor of the Buttercross to create a Tourism Hub.
However, the council has since confirmed that this project has been completed.
The authority is currently trying to dispose of several surplus-to-requirements sites it owns in Brigg, including the former Youth Centre on Grammar School Road and the ex-community hub off Horstead Avenue, together with land suitable for housing development near Atherton Way.
It has others on the market across North Lincolnshire, including land and properties in Scunthorpe.
A great deal of property searching now takes place online - a sign of the times.
However, given the 'footfall' in Brigg Market Place, is there still a case for using a more traditional method near the Buttercross?
