BRIGG FARMERS' MARKET HELPS TO PUT FASHION PREMISES IN THE SHOP WINDOW

 

With February's Brigg Farmers' Market drawing a sizeable number of shoppers to the town centre last Saturday, many who came down Wrawby Street will have passed well-known retail premises which are currently being refurbished.
The Kennedi Boutique name is now evident above the large shop unit as this business relocates from its familiar base in the Market Place, close to the County Bridge.
The shop it has taken on was used by Lindsey Lodge Hospice for charity fundraising up to last year.
Refurbishment continues inside the boutique's new base with lockdown restrictions still applying to so-called non-essential businesses. 

The boutique says it is looking forward to opening on April 12 on Wrawby Street.
Following last Saturday's farmers' market, some people took to social media to express concerns about crowds of people shopping while Lockdown 3 is still in place to combat the Coronavirus.
Buy others said they were pleased to see folk out spending money in a busy town centre.
Queues formed at some of the stalls - the market enjoying perfect sunny weather and the temperature topping 50F by mid-morning.
Our own view is that if a farmers' market is arranged and traders come to Brigg and stock their stalls, interested people will attend. Some shoppers wore masks (not mandatory in the open air) while others opted not to do so.
