BRIGG FOOD BANK: PLANNING PERMISSION NEEDED FOR NEW STORAGE CONTAINER

A planning application is to be submitted to North Lincolnshire Council for Brigg Food Bank's storage container.
The 45ft metal container was kindly donated by DFDS Seaways, from Immingham, and is sited close to Fun Forest, near Atherton Way. Work continues to kit out the storage unit.
There is continuing demand for Food Bank assistance, with a particular need for UHT Milk (semi-skimmed and full fat), tinned hot dogs, tinned meat (including corned beef) and tinned pies.
Donations in Brigg can be made at the following places:

  • Tesco store, Barnard Avenue.
  • Brian’s DIY, Wrawby Street.
  • One Stop Shop, Atkinson Avenue.
  • Barclays Bank, Market Place.
  • Ecigworld, Wrawby Street.

North Lincolnshire Council is currently considering planning applications for siting containers at sites in Winteringham and Sandtoft. Last year it granted approval for others in Crowle, Scunthorpe and Garthorpe.
