NOMINATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED FOR TOP BRIGG AWARD

Nominations are now being accepted for one of the most coveted annual awards in Brigg.
Our Town Council selects the winner of the Joseph Magrath OBE Award for Public Voluntary Service.
This trophy remembers the hard work put in over many decades by the former clerk to Brigg Urban District Council and later Brigg Town Council.
The closing date for nominations is January 20, with the winner to be selected by the Town Council a week later.
Nominations can be made by voluntary organisations or individuals.
The Silver Rose Bowl, which is held for one year, will be awarded to the person who, in the opinion of Brigg Town Council, contributed most to the well-being of the town during 2019, perhaps in one of the following ways...

  • Valuable service within a local organisation
  • Service to the old and infirm
  • Service to youth
  • Service to the cultural life of the community
  • Service within sport and leisure organisations
  • Courageous actions, or actions which have increased the standing of the town.
The trophy will be presented at the Annual Civic Charity Banquet - date to be confirmed.
