NEW SHOP COMING TO BRIGG TOWN CENTRE

Lindsey Lodge Hospice is to open new shop premises in Brigg, and many local people will be pleased to see this well-known charity re-establishing a retail outlet within the town centre.
The shop will be selling "Lindsey's pre-loved fashion and gifts" to the public at 64 Wrawby Street.
The new outlet is "coming soon" and Lindsey Lodge is now seeking volunteers - email llh.volunteering1.nhs.net
The ground floor shop has been empty for some time.
The charity had a sizeable retail presence elsewhere on Wrawby Street until summer 2020. Following its closure there was some talk of a possible transfer to the ground floor of the Buttercross, but this did not materialise.
Planning permission and listed building consent to install a new shop front and windows at 64 Wrawby Street, within the Conservation Area, were sought from North Lincolnshire Council last autumn.
A statement to the council suggested the work would provide a positive contribution to the townscape, and described it as "a sensitive design in keeping with shops surrounding Wrawby Street."
The scheme would make more efficient use of the shop by providing an increase in usable retail space, the statement added.
In July 2020, following the closure of its previous shop on Wrawby Street, Lindsey Lodge Hospice told us: "We enjoy fantastic support from our customers in Brigg and we are very much committed to having a presence there."
A spokeswoman made it clear they were keen to relocate to new premises elsewhere in Brigg.
Lindsey Lodge's initial shop in Brigg was close to where Wrawby Street joins the Market Place (adjoining the Buttercross).
