Brigg Town's first team footballers recorded the biggest win of the 2021/22 season in the entire Toolstation Northern Counties East League yesterday (Saturday, January 15).
Before another sizeable crowd of 274 at the EC Surfacing Stadium (Hawthorns) the Zebras beat Nottinghamshire side Teversal 14-1 in Division One.
Brigg remain third in Division One but this boost to their goal difference may prove important in the push to for promotion to the top flight at the end of the season in May.
Yesterday afternoon there were five goals for Josh Batty, hat-tricks from Scott Phillips and Dayle Hutson, Jack Bowskin scored twice and there was one goal for Jon Oglesby.
Brigg led 5-1 at half-time against the division's bottom team.
