BRIGG BUSINESS ABOUT TO REOPEN IN NEW PREMISES

A Brigg business is to reopen in new premises tomorrow (Monday, January 3, 2022).
Ones Junk Another's Treasure has relocated from the Market Place to Springs Parade.
A notice at the former premises will direct people a short distance to the new shop at 6 Springs Parade (between Sue Ryder's and the Steel Rooms).
A post-lunch walk across the town yesterday found things to be very quiet indeed on New Year's Day.
In view of fine weather, afternoon sun and a 55F (13C) air temperature, it was surprising to find ALL the public seats unoccupied along the riverside between the County Bridge and the Ancholme Way Bridge.
Also deserted was the Davy Memorial playing field near Bigby Road which has a wide range of play equipment, plus a grass football pitch and an outdoor table tennis table.
Apart from a few walkers and dog-exercisers, the only people we saw enjoying the mild weather were cyclists riding through the pedestrian area, which has signs instructing riders to dismount within the zone.
However, yesterday afternoon there was no danger at all of collisons with passing shoppers!
