BRIGG FARMERS' MARKET: TIME TO PREVIEW THE JANUARY 2022 EVENT

Some people have been asking when the first Brigg Farmers' Market in 2022 will be taking place.
It will be held this Saturday (January 22) from 8am until mid-afternoon.
The monthly market stalls will be selling a wide range of produce (including jam, bread and cheese) close to the weekly Saturday general market offering fruit, veg and flowers.
Confusion sometimes arises when there is a month with five Saturdays, as is the case in January 2022 (1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th).
Officially, the farmers' market is allocated to the fourth Saturday of the month. But some people use the last Saturday as their yardstick. This definition can prove OK... unless there are five Saturdays.
North Lincolnshire Council, which is our local markets authority, has now erected banners in the town, near the A18, to stress that the farmers' event is coming up 'This Saturday'.
Weather forecasts suggest fine conditions will prevail for the January 2022 market, with temperatures of 7C or 8C (44F-46F).
As the farmers' market always proves popular, some of Saturday's vehicle-owning shoppers will be getting their first look at dozens of new plants recently installed on the perimeter of the Old Courts Road car park. Having replaced small shrubs, they will eventually grow to form a hedge.
