LATE WINNER FOR BRIGG TOWN BEFORE BUMPER BANK HOLIDAY CROWD

Brigg Town again attracted the highest crowd of the day in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League, and won their bank holiday Monday fixture yesterday (January 3, 2022).
But it took a late goal to see off Armthorpe Welfare 2-1 at the EC Surfacing Stadium (Hawthorns).
The visitors went ahead very early on but Dayle Hutson cancelled that out midway through the first half.
Before a bumper attendance of 457, the promotion-chasing Zebras looked likely to drop two points until Alfie Usher came up with a late decider.
Brigg remain third in Division One, behind leaders Hallam and second-placed North Ferriby who both won away games yesterday.
