FIVE BRIGG & DISTRICT PLANNNING APPLICATIONS AWAITING DECISIONS

Planning applications relating to land and properties in and near Brigg continue to be received by North Lincolnshire Council for consideration.
Planning permission is being sought for change of use of land to mixed use of domestic and dog breeding and the erection of a shed at the front of 1 Ridge View, off Churchill Avenue, Brigg.
Approval is being requested to erect a two-storey rear extension at 12 Colton Street, Brigg.
Planning permission is being sought to erect six semi-detached dwellings with associated works at The Haymaker, 75 Main Street, Bonby. Local people may recall enjoying meals at The Haymaker in the past or visiting the pub for a pint in years gone by (see our archive picture above).
Outline planning permission is being sought to erect three dwellings on land to the north of Habrough Lane, Kirmington, and for a single-storey rear extension at 21 Lidgett Close, Scawby.
North Lincolnshire Council has yet to make decisions on these five applications.
Meanwhile, the authority has refused to grant permission to erect a new detached dwelling and associated works (including demolition of existing stables) at West Street Stables, West Street, Hibaldstow.
Announcing its decision the authority said: "The proposal is located in the open countryside and would represent an unsustainable form of development."
It added: "The proposal by virtue of its appearance, scale, massing, and location would be detrimental to the character of the nearby settlement, nor does it recognise the intrinsic character and beauty of this part of the open countryside."
Anyone refused planning permission has the right to lodge an appeal to be carried out by a government-appointed inspector.
