DOZENS OF NEW ADDITIONS MADE TO BRIGG TOWN CENTRE

Dozens of new additions to Brigg town centre appeared over the weekend.
Contractors planted new shrubs alongside Old Courts Road yesterday (Sunday, January 9, 2022).
They will mature to form a hedge running along two sides of the town's main car park.
Brigg Town Council's October 2021 meeting heard a suggestion for future planting on Old Courts Road, and the project was approved the following month.
The new shrubs replace earlier versions introduced some years ago when the species chosen resulted in a number of gaps.
However, these could be considered a considerable improvements on the basic fencing that had been there previously.

Having parked their vehicles and set off towards the main shopping area, the perimeter of the car park is one of the first views people get of central Brigg.
Shoppers who visit the Boyes store on Old Courts Road need not be concerned; the existing gap has been retained on the eastern edge of the car park.
