WITH BRIGG FAIR FOLK SONG AS THEIR MUSIC, COUPLE MARRIED IN TOWN ON HORSE FAIR DAY

A happy couple chose Brigg Horse Fair day for their wedding and selected a town centre venue for the ceremony yesterday (Friday  August 5).
Both semi-professional singers, they also opted for the famous and traditional Brigg Fair song to grace their union in the town centre's Buttercross.
Kirsty Harrison and partner Gary, from Grimsby, are pictured here following their wedding.
She told Brigg Blog they were fans of the song first performed in public by Joseph Taylor, from Saxby All Saints, during Brigg Music Festival at the Corn Exchange in the early 1900s.
Brigg Buttercross is now an increasingly popular wedding venue.
Bookings are being handled by Brigg Heritage Centre which recently revamped its website. View details through this link...
