BROUGHTON BOWL OUT THE CHAMPS


Broughton 3rds did well to bowl out champions Alkborough 2nds for a modest total in Mick Walker North Lindsey Cricket League Division Two yesterday (Sunday, August 21).
However, having mustered 118, the home team recovered to dismiss Broughton for 96 and secure their ninth win in 10 games.
All-rounder Jack Johnstone performed well for Broughton, taking three wickets for only six runs in seven overs and then top scoring with 29.
This was his team's penultimate match of the season.
Hibaldstow 2nds, who were not in league action yesterday, have two fixtures remaining.
Broughton and Hibaldstow occupy the bottom places in Division Two and have yet to meet up at at the latter club's ground.
