SUMMER BRIGG FOOD FESTIVAL, LIVE MUSIC & MARKETS ON A VERY BUSY SATURDAY


A summer Brigg Food Festival will be held in the town centre on Saturday (August 13) from 11am through to 8pm. It promises to be a very busy day!
Brigg Town Business Partnership and Brigg Live Arts are promoting this event, which will feature 'street food' after 11am and free-to-enjoy live music from noon.
12 to 12.30: North Lincs Guitar Club - playing a range of easy listening guitar music.
13.00 to 13.45: Ancholme River Jazz Band - playing the good old jazz classics as well as songs.
14.00 to 14.45: The Grit Blues Band - playing the blues we all like!
15.00 to 15.45: In Denial. This Indie Band from Scunthorpe/Doncaster will be playing well-known covers but they are also wanting to write and play more originals, too.
16.00 to 16.45: Lizzie Bennett - playing and singing mostly covers with some upbeat tunes as well. It will range from Disney to classics, with something for everyone.
17.00 to 17.45: Mac - playing folk, rock, fusion inter-spaced with covers you will not expect!
18.00 to 18.45: Affinity - playing popular music made famous from Buddy Holly to The Shadows. with lots in between.
19.00 to 20.00: The 3Ps. Their music is a take on popular music from way back... Beatles, Eagles, Dusty Springfield. The 2 Petes will be playing 'Beaty' with some blues thrown in.

A Love Brigg Arts & Craft Market will be operating from 8.30pm through to 3pm on Saturday, with a range of stalls. Also on offer nearby will be fruit, veg, flowers and fish.
Brigg Arts Festival, which opened on Thursday, continues today (Friday) and tomorrow at St John's Church (9.30am to 2pm). Refreshments will be on offer in the adjoining Church Hall, Bigby Street, on Saturday.
Some hostelries will be offering live music, with free admission, on Saturday night (August 13).
Skaburst UK with be returning by popular demand to Brigg & District Servicemen's Club, Coney Court.
Market Place venue the Woolpack will have Slim & The Dude (a duo) providing pop and rock songs from the 1950s-1980s era, starting at 9pm.
The Dying Gladiator, on Bigby Street, will be staging a Saturday night disco & karaoke.

Wetherspoon's White Horse, on Wrawby Street, is hosting a gin tasting night today (Friday, August 12). Inquire at the venue for any remaining tickets.
