BRIGG TOWN'S UNBEATEN RUN COMES TO AN END

Brigg Town Football Club looked on course to extend their unbeaten start to the league season to six matches last night (Tuesday, August 23).
However, having taken an early lead at Wakefield AFC through Lawrence Heward, the Zebras conceded an equaliser in the 63rd minute with the Yorkside side going on to net a last-gasp winner.
Brigg are eighth in Toolstation Northern Counties East Division One, having taken nine points from six matches - two wins, three draws, one defeat.
The divisional winners will be promoted automatically at the end of the season, with the four sides immediately below them playing off in April to decide the other promotion place.
All the Division One teams will play 38 league fixtures during the 2022/23 campaign, so there's a long, long way to go.
Brigg made the play-offs last season but then lost to Harrogate Railway.
