IT ALL 'CLIX' INTO PLACE FOR BROUGHTON IN BRIGG AREA CRICKET DERBY


Cricket followers in the Brigg area had eyes on a local derby played in the Mick Walker North Lindsey League yesterday (Sunday, July 31).
Broughton 3rds had home advantage against Hibaldstow 2nds in Division Two, and won comfortably.
Experienced Broughton bowler Sean Clixby took six wickets at a cost of only 14 runs in seven overs as the visitors were dismissed for 124 (Josh Cowling 48, Toby Carter 40).
Scott Pashley then top scored with 45 and fellow opener Ben Fish made 27 as Broughton lost only two wickets on their way to securing victory.
Josh Cowling bowled well for the visitors, taking two for 24 in 10 overs.
Hibaldstow and Broughton remain the bottom sides in the table but are now level on six points, having both won two of their seven fixtures.
