One cricket team from Brigg Blog's area played in the North Lindsey League yesterday (Sunday, August 7).
Broughton 3rds lost by 45 runs when hosting Outcasts 3rds at the Recreation Ground on Scawby Road.
The visitors from the Isle of Axholme posted 208 for seven in their permitted 40 overs, as Jack Johnstone and Phil Heath both claimed three wickets for Broughton.
Jack then top scored with 69, but Brett Fish's 31 was the only other significant contribution as the home team were dismissed for 163 in the 31st over.
It proved to be a busy day for all-rounder Jack, who opened the bowling and then the batting.
He sent down nine overs in an attack which featured NINE members of the Broughton line-up.
Broughton 3rds remain second from bottom in Division Two. Hibaldstow 2nds - at the foot of the table - were not in action yesterday.
