UPDATE ON BRIGG & DISTRICT HOUSING SCHEMES - NEW PROPERTIES & EXTENSIONS

Many applications seeking approval to build new homes or extend existing properties in Brigg Blog's area continue to be received and decided by North Lincolnshire Council and the neighbouring West Lindsey authority.
Approval has now been given to erect a single-storey ground floor extension to the front of 22 Meadow Vale, Scawby.
Permission is being sought to erect a single-storey rear extension at 32 Appleby Gardens, Broughton (decision yet to be made).
West Lindsey District Council has granted permission for one dwelling to be built on land to west of The Brambles, Occupation Lane, North Kelsey.
The Gainsborough-based authority is now considering an application seeking outline permission for a residential development of up to nine dwellings on land off Carr Road, North Kelsey. A public consultation period is under way, prior to planners making their decision.
Decisions are still awaited on a number of outline applications in Brigg which were submitted some months ago:

  • Erect 70 dwellings off Island Carr Road.
  • Erect up to nine dwellings, land off Westrum Lane.
  • Erect two dwellings and two apartments to the rear of 15 Bridge Street.
  • Residential development off Engine Street.

Approval is also being sought to erect a replacement dwelling on land off Mill Lane, Brigg, near the former windmill.

West Lindsey Council has also been notified of plans to erect an agricultural building for machinery and feed storage on land off Bigby Hill.
