EYE-CATCHING RECRUITMENT CAMPAIGN IN BRIGG

Humberside Fire & Rescue Service is currently running an eye-catching recruitment campaign in Brigg.
In an effort to take on more retained (part-time) fire-fighters, the service has emblazoned the front of its Brigg station with a large and distinctive poster.
As this demonstrates, male and female applicants are welcome to apply to join the service. There is no closing date.
'Retained' seems to be an old term that has gone out of fashion; today they are known as on-call fire-fighters.
If you are interested or know someone who is, use this link https://humbersidefire.gov.uk/careers/vacancies OR call  01482 565333. Alternatively, email: servicesupport@humbersidefire.gov.uk
Brigg Fire Station, located beside the A18 where Barnard Avenue bisects Grammar School Road, was established in 1973 to replace an earlier one on Wrawby Street (where the Blyton ice cream parlour is located today).
Lindsey County Council, based in Lincoln, was phased out in 1974 when the new Humberside Fire Service was introduced as part of local government reorganisation.
