COLOUR CHANGES FOR BRIGG TINTAB SHELTER & SEATING - UPDATED POST

The Tintab public seating shelter is getting a new new look.
Repainting and refurbishment work has now started at the structure on East Park, near the Monument roundabout and the A18.
Brigg Town Council is overseeing the project and is using a "heritage" colour for the shelter which occupies a prominent position within the Conservation Area.
Having taken advice, it has settled on Heritage Marine blue for the structure, while its four benches are to receive a black enamel spruce up in due course.
The refurb had some undercoat applied (see picture above) before a blue top coat was added (see picture at the foot of our post taken today - Wednesday).

What do you think of the new heritage colour scheme? We think it looks good.
The shelter was generously donated to the town in the 1930s by Lambert Andrew - a retired senior police officer who became a member of Brigg Urban District Council.
Signage still present within the Tintab carries a message to townsfolk from the UDC about respecting the building and not damaging or defacing it (pictured below).
