Two councillors have been elected to represent the interests of people living in a number of settlements near Brigg.
Following voting on Thursday (vote-counting being undertaken yesterday) Peter Morris (Conservative) was selected to represent the Kelsey Wold Ward on West Lindsey District Council. This area includes Kettleby, Bigby, Grasby, Owmby and North & South Kelsey.
The same settlements will be represented at county level by Stephen Bunney (Liberal Democrats) who was elected as member for the Market Rasen Wolds Ward on Lincolnshire County Council.
These seats were held by Coun Lewis Strange (Conservative) up to the time of his death a year ago.
Lewis was well-known in Brigg as a Rotarian and a long-serving player and official of Brigg Hockey Club.
The results of both Police & Crime Commissioner elections (for Humberside and in Lincolnshire) will be announced later today (Saturday) following the counting of votes cast across both areas on Thursday.
