DON'T FORGET TO VOTE IN BRIGG & BROUGHTON TODAY

People living in Brigg, Broughton and a number of nearby villages have the opportunity to vote in elections today (Thursday, May 6).
There's a chance for those on North Lincolnshire's electoral role to have their say in the choice of the Police and Crime Commissioner for the Humberside Police area which covers both banks of the River Humber.
At the same time there's an election to return TWO people for vacant Broughton & Appleby Ward seats on North Lincolnshire Council. This ward includes Wressle, Castlethorpe and the Waters Edge housing estate which borders the New River Ancholme just outside Brigg.
The nominated candidates for Broughton & Appleby, in alphabetical order, are:
Jo Baker (Green Party Candidate).
Graham Ladlow (Labour Party).
Janet Lee (Local Conservatives).
Carol Elizabeth Ross (Local Conservatives).
Mike Speakman (The For Britain Movement).
Amie Alissa Watson (Green Party Candidate).
Lucy Watson (Labour Party).
Over the county border, today will see voting to elect a representative for the Kelsey Ward on West Lindsey District Council and also the Market Rasen Wolds seat on Lincolnshire County Council.
Local settlements in these wards includes Kettleby, Bigby, Grasby, Searby, Owmby and North and South Kelsey.
Just a few reminders for Brigg voters: polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm today, the Buttercross has replaced the Angel Suite as the town centre voting venue (there is another at the Methodist Church on Wesley Road), and you do NOT need to be in possession of a polling card to cast your vote.
Counting the votes cast in the Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner election will start at 10am on Saturday (May 8), North Lincolnshire Council indicates.
There is also an election today (Thursday) for the post of Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner (this will include voting in West Lindsey).

WHEREVER YOU ARE VOTING TODAY THE ADVICE IS TO TAKE YOUR OWN PEN OR PENCIL ALONG TO MARK THE BALLOT PAPER, DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS EMERGENCY STILL BEING IN FORCE.
