SUCCESSFUL MONTH FOR BRIGG CHARITY FUNDRAISERS

A charity fundraising group in Brigg has continued to collect cash for a very worthy cause, despite Coronavirus emergency lockdown and now Tier 3 restrictions.
The local Pancreatic Cancer Action group tells us that November was Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.
World Pancreatic Cancer Day was supported in Brigg on November 19.
"Despite the pandemic curtailing much of our activities, it has been a successful month for the charity," says spokesman Andrew 'Sass' Markham.
Andrew, Zoe Hall and Lesley Whitehand raised £610.07 through various events and would like to thank everyone for their continued support.
"The money will go towards raising awareness of this horrendous disease which kills so many people due to it being so hard to diagnose," he adds.

Magrath OBE Award for Public Voluntary Service in March 2017 by Coun Ann Eardley, who was then Town Mayor. Left to right - Lesley, Zoe, Andrew and Coun Ann.
