A special service is coming up at the weekend, giving Brigg people a great opportunity to get together to hear the Christmas story and enjoy singing carols from the comfort of their own homes. The online service, using Zoom technology, will take place at a time when the town's well-known Christmas Tree Festival would normally be concluding. The organisers are publicising their event through social media and have asked Brigg Blog to help spread the word. There's an open invitation for everyone to take part...
FROM MALCOLM BAILEY
Just a note to say that we have continued with online worship since March ....but for now just to flag up a special service next Sunday afternoon that we hope will be of interest to many in the community.
We have been conscious that 20th December would normally have an afternoon service following the end of the tree festival, but then nothing is 'normal' at the moment!
However, a special Lessons & Carols service has been organised by Andrew Ballard and Kate Marr. It's at 3pm on the 20th and will be via Zoom.
It includes input from Bishop David and Revd Peter as well as our Mayor, Cllr Sharon Riggall.
We're hoping that many in the community will feel able to join so have set up promotion via Eventbrite to allow as many folk as wish to register and receive the joining instructions.
