LAST CHANCE FOR BRIGG HOUSEHOLDERS TO ENTER CHRISTMAS LIGHTS IN PRIZE COMPETITION

North Lincolnshire Council is urging people across the district "to make North Lincolnshire sparkle this Christmas" - and many householders in Brigg are already doing just that.
Pictured above is a particularly decorative property on Churchill Avenue, not far from the junction with Wrawby Road. This is just one example of many fine festive features across the town.
Also look out for the Three Wise Men - visiting Brigg in the front garden of a domestic property on Wrawby Road, close to the Monument roundabout.
Brigg Town Council has played its part by buying and erecting new illuminations for the town centre. Sadly, there was some vandalism of the tree lights in the Market Place not long after they were installed, but repairs were soon undertaken. Our picture show the tree last night (Sunday, December 6)

North Lincolnshire Council says: "With what looks to be a very different Christmas just around the corner, people are being urged to dust off their Christmas lights, decorate their houses and make North Lincolnshire shine bright this year."
The authority has been asking local folk to share their own 'virtual' lights switch ons through social media between November 28 and today using the hashtag #northlincsxmaslights with the chance to win a prize.
If you still wish to enter, get cracking now!
There are three prizes up for grabs by the houses deemed ‘best decorated’ throughout North Lincolnshire.
Two runners up will each get a £50 High Street voucher, while the overall winner receives one for £150.
Brigg's Coun Rob Waltham, as the Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, says: “While towns across North Lincolnshire can’t have their usual Christmas lights switch on events, we can all get together virtually to help spread some Christmas cheer.
“It has been a challenging year but coming together, even virtually, can help our families, friends and communities enter the festive sprit and spread some happiness.”
