A new family home is planned in Brigg near one of the town's landmarks.
Permission is being sought to erect a replacement dwelling on land to the west of Mill Lane.
The proposed property will be 56 metres from the historic grade two listed windmill.
Currently there is a disused and boarded-up house on the site.
The proposal is for a two-storey dwelling on a similar scale to the existing one.
"The new dwelling would be a betterment on the existing property and would improve the visual impact of the plot whilst providing more modern and up-to-date facilities for a family home," the application says.
It points out that two industrial outbuildings have been built adjoining the old mill, and says: "The proposals will not create any adverse cumulative impact upon the listed building in addition to the existing development in its setting."
North Lincolnshire Council is now considering this application and Brigg Town Council will be consulted as part of the planning process.
